Community Work Day @ Big Beach
July 26th, 2008, 9 AM

1st parking lot of Oneloa (Big Beach) Join Save Makena for Community Work Day @ the 1st Entrance of Oneloa (Big Beach). We will be embarking on a Restoration Project of the wetlands in between 1st entrance and 2nd entrance of Oneloa (Big Beach). The Wetlands are a nesting habitat of native endangered birds.
The Project will be followed by a party on the beach with food and drink. Don't forget your swimsuit!

1st Save Makena Skimboard/Bodyboard Competition
August 23rd, 2008, All Day

Oneloa-Big Beach-3rd Entrance The 1st Save Makena Skimboard/Bodyboard Competition will take place on Saturday, August 23rd all day @ Makena-Pu'u Olai State Park, 3rd entrance of Oneloa-Big Beach.
Free Food/Drink, Speakers, DJ Music.
This will be a Low-Waste event using compostable party-ware and getting food from local sources. There will be 5-6 divisions of ages from grom to advanced and ladies division for each Bodyboarding and Skimboarding.
